Our Privacy Policy was last updated on 14th October 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how your Personal Information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://instorier.com (the “Site”).
Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We Collect Device Information Using the Following Technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Marketing Attribution Data
When you sign up for an account or interact with our website, we may capture certain marketing attribution parameters—such as utm_campaign, utm_source, and utm_medium—if they are present in the URL at the time of your visit. This data helps us understand how you found Instorier and is used solely to assess the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising efforts. This information may be associated with your account to enable better campaign performance analysis and more relevant communication.
Tracking User Interactions and Usage
We may collect and analyze data about how you interact with our platform to better understand user behavior and improve our services. This data may include:
- Features used and time spent on specific parts of our platform.
- Content viewed or created using our tools.
- Actions taken within the platform, such as story creation or sharing.
This information is associated with your account profile, which is identified by your email address. While we anonymize data where possible for broader analytics and reporting, certain actions and usage data are linked to your email address to enable personalized communications, segmentation, and support. By creating an account and using our services, you consent to this data being processed and associated with your account.
We use Customer.io, a third-party messaging service, to process and analyze this data for segmentation and personalized messaging. You can learn more about how Customer.io processes your data by visiting: https://customer.io/legal/privacy-policy/.
User Consent for Tips, Updates, and Features
When you sign up on our Site, you consent to receive operational communications such as welcome emails, account notifications, and other essential messages necessary to provide our services. These emails are required and do not require separate consent under GDPR, as they are part of our contractual obligation to you.
Additionally, you may be given the option to consent to receive helpful tips, feature updates, and news from us. If you consent to receive these communications, we will use your email address to send you personalized updates and insights designed to help you get the most out of Instorier.
We use Customer.io, a third-party messaging service, to manage and deliver all communications, including operational emails and optional updates. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to allow us to share limited data with Customer.io, such as your email address, name, and engagement behavior, to facilitate these communications. You can learn more about how Customer.io uses your Personal Information by visiting: https://customer.io/legal/privacy-policy/.
You can withdraw your consent to receive optional updates at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any communication we send or by visiting https://instorier.com/settings. However, operational communications will continue as long as you maintain an account with us.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Stripe to process payments—you can read more about how Stripe uses your Personal Information here: https://stripe.com/en-no/privacy. We use Customer.io to send both operational communications (such as welcome emails, password resets, and account notifications) and optional updates, tips, and feature announcements to users who have consented, as outlined above. We also use Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads to measure advertising performance and show relevant ads, in line with your cookie consent choices.
If you are a user in the Middle-East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT), we may share your contact information, such as your email address, with our partner SCROLLI MEDIA (SCROLLİ MEDYA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ) to facilitate support and onboarding. SCROLLI MEDIA may contact you to assist with your onboarding process, address inquiries, or offer technical support specific to our services. We have an agreement with SCROLLI MEDIA to ensure your information is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Google Advertising, Conversion Tracking, and Consent Mode
We use Google Ads to promote our services, measure ad performance, and show relevant advertising to users who have previously visited our website. We do not show third-party ads on our own site. Our use of Google Ads is limited to advertising our own products and services on Google platforms such as Search, YouTube, and partner websites.
To comply with European privacy laws, we have implemented Google’s Consent Mode. This technology lets us control how Google uses cookies and data based on your consent choices.
When you give consent through our cookie banner, we allow Google to:
- Store ad-related cookies on your device to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and understand which ads lead to conversions (for example, sign-ups or purchases).
- Show personalized ads to you on Google platforms or partner sites based on your past interactions with our website (remarketing).
We do not use Google Analytics or collect analytics cookies through Google. We also do not allow Google to use your personal data (such as your IP address or unique identifiers) for ad measurement or broader targeting beyond ad personalization.
If you do not provide consent for advertising cookies, we do not load any Google advertising scripts, and no data is sent to Google until you have provided consent.
You can withdraw or change your consent for cookies at any time by visiting the cookie settings section or by adjusting your browser settings. For more details on how Google processes data and how you can manage your advertising preferences, please visit Google’s Advertising Privacy Policy.
Meta (Facebook) Advertising and Conversion Tracking
We use Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. This helps us understand how users interact with our website after viewing or clicking on our ads and allows us to show relevant ads to people who are likely to be interested in our products.
When you give consent through our cookie banner, Meta may receive certain information about your activity on our website, including pages visited, actions taken (such as sign-ups or purchases), and browser information. This data helps us measure conversions and optimize our advertising campaigns.
We do not share any sensitive personal data (such as payment details, passwords, or account content) with Meta. Meta acts as a separate data controller for the data it collects through the Meta Pixel. You can learn more about how Meta processes personal data by visiting the Meta Privacy Policy.
If you do not provide consent for advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel will not be loaded, and no data will be sent to Meta.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by visiting the cookie settings section or by adjusting your browser settings.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Data Retention
When you create an account or place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Personal Information and Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
If you terminate your account, we will automatically delete your Personal Information, Site data, and Order Information within six months. For account restoration purposes, the minimum data retention time is three months after account termination.
